New Yorkers With Lived Experiences, Providers, Clinicians, and Caregivers: Your Voice Can Help Shape Federal Healthcare Policy
Congress is currently considering policies that could impact access to treatments and medical care, while also examining the role insurance practices play in increasing healthcare costs.
We are seeking stories from New Yorkers with lived experiences, patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and clinicians about how innovative treatments have improved or extended life, why timely access to care matters, and how insurance denials, prior authorization requirements, or high out-of-pocket costs have created challenges in getting needed care.
Why share your story: Your experience helps lawmakers understand what is working, where reforms are needed, and how policies can improve access to care, reduce waste, fraud, and abuse, and support continued medical innovation.

Giveaway Prize
Individuals who submit a story will be entered into a drawing for a first-place $500 prize, a second-place $250 prize, and a third-place $125 prize.
Three (3) eligible participants will be selected at random from all qualified submissions received.
The prize may be used at the recipient's discretion and is unrestricted.
It can help offset expenses such as insurance copays, deductibles, pharmacy costs, transportation to medical appointments, or other healthcare-related needs.

The Story Giveaway Prize is supplied by J Strategies. To enter, participants must submit a patient story by Friday, August 28, 2026. Stories can be entered through the designated submission form in written or video form, or sent directly to a J Strategies team member.
Open only to residents of New York State who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Limit one (1) entry per person.
Three (3) winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received and will receive a 1st-place $500 prize, a 2nd-place $225 prize, and a 3rd-place $125 prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
The winner will be notified using the contact information provided with their submission. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is determined to be ineligible, or fails to respond within five (5) business days, an alternate winner may be selected.
By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of J Strategies, which are final and binding. J Strategies reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway at any time.
The award will be paid by check and may be used at the recipient's discretion, including to help offset healthcare-related expenses such as copays, deductibles, pharmacy costs, transportation to medical appointments, or other personal needs.
